Hardparking at a new level!

Postby DJPyro on Thu Jan 24, 2008 5:24 pm

Hardparkers unite again!

I'll be in Ottawa the first weekend of February (1/2/3) unless the weather is horrendous and we don't make the trip.

Anyway, should be rolling in late Friday, but I would like to meet up with you guys again for some chillage Saturday night perhaps.

Anyone know someplace cool, and relatively cheap to chill? We'll hardpark the winter beaters, live it up. It'll be awesome.

Let's see a show of hands here guys. I'm not here often so I wouldn't mind seeing some of you sukkas.

ALEX, BRING MY STICKERS DAMMIT. lol

Fucking stickers... I gotta check if I have any left.

Yeah I'm in.

Lets hard park the beaters... Tims, usual time... round 9:30 or so... down at M&M as usual... Saturday, not Friday... but inside the Tims, not in the parking lot... unless its freakishly warm (which sometimes happens round here)... but yeah... usual spot.

We'll decide from there if we want do anything else.

How does that sound?

Sounds gud to me. Should be fun.

The only thing better than a good hardparking session with nice cars, is a good hardparking session with the beaters.

Hey Bart I have another question towards buying a car from Quebec. The guy selling me the car doesn't want to take any chances so he wants the ownership to be transferred to my name before it leaves his possession. I know in Ontario we just basically sign the papers and the area used for this purpose but is it any different in Quebec? Do we have to go the SAAQ to register?

Thanks

If the seller signs the back of his SAAQ green papers ( similar to the ON ownership papers), all you need is a bill of sale and you can go to the SAAQ and make the transfer. But since you're from ON, you need to go to wherever you guys go to make the transfer, I don't know if you need a safety or whatever, when I buy a car from ON I have to pass the Qc safety each time to get my plates.
If he signs the back of this card, even with a bill of sale, the car is his responsibility until the change is made at the SAAQ. So you can drive it if the seller agrees to it. So whether you have to drag him to the ON office, or if he can make the transfer at the SAAQ I'm not sure, my guess is you have to go to the ON office since that where the car will get plated.
You should give the SAAQ a call and ask to be sure.

Alright thanks again. We both just agreed on him putting a temp plate on it driving it down here himself. Makes it easier for the both of us.

It's at the corner of Meadowlands and Merivale rd. There's a red lobster there too.
