I think Evan actually wrote that, because I know I didn't! stupid computer sharing...
I have some other plans on Saturday night, but I might be able to show up later. Evan will be there, though.

Can't make it for 8... have a late supper date.

You're more than welcome to go there at 8 and wait for us.

But most of us (me, gahzi, evan) will be there around 9:30pm.

Good times tonight, folks. Have to do it again soon.

Elroy, sorry for the ride out of downtown. That was easily the most fucked up path I've ever taken - it's much easier when half of the streets aren't blocked by police, I swear! Hope you didn't get too lost - if you did, really sorry about that!

Yep definitly a good time. Was good to see everyone and meet new faces.

There was a really bad accident at the corner of Dalhousie and Clarence. Looked like a cube van t-boned a car right into the Mangia restaurant. My guess is someone passed away because all the streets around it were sealed off like Fort Knocks.

That would explain at least half the cops I saw on the way home.

It would have been a much easier trip if I could have gotten back onto Colonel By - that would have taken you right to Bronson, and it would have been much quicker. But with all the roads closed, I had to detour down Elgin to Queen St - Bronson meets up with Queen at the end, if you ever end up down there again.

Edit: As for the streets being closed, I noticed a lot of water on the side streets. I thought maybe a water main blew or something. Then I checked the paper: http://www.canada.com/ottawacitizen/news/story.html?id=92b29edf-2a99-4d8f-83a2-0c7536395805&k=53434. I didn't see anything about a car accident, though :dunno:

Accident might have be caused due to the water break. All I know for sure was there was a lot of ambulances with doors open and lights flashing. Which is not usually part of the city support system when a water line breaks.

True, I saw a few abulances, but mostly just cruisers blocking streets, and a couple of Astro vans and paddy wagons too.

Awesome to see you guys again, thanks for accommodating with the re-location of the event. Had a blast this weekend, and seeing you guys made it worthwhile.
