Either way, I'd love to go, spectating if I must, participating if the budget allows.

St. Eustace isn't much more than an hour or so away from Ottawa (I think it took us 1 1/2 hours when we went down for Drift Mania, but I forget), so I would think that most of us will be leaving Saturday morning.

Right on, I didn't realize it was that close. That makes my life easiser, since I can drive to Ottawa on Friday after work, and then just crash at my cousin's place and leave with the convoy in the morning.

I can't remember the exact time, but it isn't much more than 2 hours from Ottawa.

And if we are following Nave or Nismo, we'll be there in 45.

Sweet, my personal best distance vs. time was Sault Ste. Marie to Toronto. I was in Mississauga in 5 1/2 hrs in a 92 Ford Escort.

Uhm, that's a bit of an exaggeration there, Matt.

Given my non-JDM-Tyte-ness...

What's different from Solo1? It seems after a quick scan of their website that you do some practice sessions, then a handful of cars go out for 3 laps or so, your best lap time is your "time attack lap"...

So you race against the clock, it' snot a race as such.

I'm wondering what their definition of a "professional driver" is.

I'm wondering what class they'd put me in with my rally car... a quick scan of the rules udl indicate I might qualify for "street class" if I throw in a centre console :-) and use appropriate tires.

Should I enter this for fun or what?

I think June will be a pretty busy month so it's a definite maybe at best, but I should consider some of this type of JDM-tyte-ness...
