Oil pan gasket - is cork any good?

Postby bartyb on Mon May 30, 2011 6:56 pm

So I'm rebuilding a ka24de, I always used liquid gasket for it and the fsm calls for it, but I have this new cork gasket for the oil pan still in its original packaging. Does it work just as good, durability wise and so on?

Thanks

Try it and let us know :-)

I can't remember the last time I saw a cork gasket!

Cork is junk. Use the liquid stuff. I use "The Right Stuff" but there are other good ones out there as well.
