Auto adapter bushing removal?

Postby kylelyk on Sun May 10, 2009 7:00 pm

Im doing a five speed swap on my 90 240 coupe. Im stuck at trying to get off that damn auto adapter bushing where the manual pilot bearing goes... ive tried wrenching it off with vice grips while my friend holds the crank, and tried with a pilot bearing puller but no luck. Is my only other option to cut? Anyone got some tricks?

Die grinder with a burr does the trick nicely.
